I love my job. It’s about taking pictures of people that generally don’t like having their pictures taken.
It’s about aiming to give them a set of pictures that reflect different facets of themselves; that are honest and inspiring, varied and the best that they can be on the day.
Generally, actors dislike having pictures of themselves as themselves. They’re used to playing characters on screen or stage but are often uncomfortable out of character in front of a stills camera.
My job is all about relaxing them during the shoot so that they feel comfortable and confident. I want them to enjoy the whole process. My thirty years of experience working with many different people and faces has helped me to achieve this.
I wholeheartedly believe it’s about having fun in a relaxed and un-rushed session. Thankfully, the feedback from my clients confirms that they enjoy themselves and obtain the best possible images on the day.
