Actor/Writer Liam Thomas grew up in a Trawler town. He left home at 16 to work at sea before embarking on a circuitous route to the now. In 2018 he was the subject of a documentary for Vice media. His first book, a memoir, will be published by Penguin Random House.
He recently wrote, produced, and appeared in his first BFI backed short film, THE TIDE, about the crew of a North Sea trawler blindsided by tragedy. It will be released in 2020.
